Communications Foundations
Through this Linked In Learning course, I learned how to communicate effectively using the four building blocks: people, message, context, and listening. I had learned through trial-and-error with my experience working in organizations and teams that the best way to communicate a message is to start with “why it applies” to the person(s) I am communicating to and to use the best mode of communication where the listener can hear the message. This module is the first time I heard how important the venue through which you send a message you want to communicate is, as well as how feedback and creating dialogue and really listening is equally as valued. I also learned how to be more direct and that shortening your messages shows your consideration for the person who will be receiving that message. Implementing these processes has already improved my communication’s effectiveness!
